Hiring Campaign Launches in Edmonton

Canada’s newest national wireless company prepares to ‘go live’ in Edmonton next month.

TORONTO – January 13, 2010 – Do you believe in the power of conversation? Globalive’s WIND Mobile - Canada’s newest national wireless provider - announced today the launch of a hiring campaign to recruit both full-time and part-time employees in the Edmonton area. The new mobile provider is gearing up to launch service and open stores in the Edmonton market as early as next month.

“We are a company that has made having a conversation with our customers our number one priority,” said Marieta Mendoza, Head of Recruitment at WIND Mobile. “We are setting a new standard for customer service in Canada and so, we’re looking for people who have a passion for the customer.”

WIND Mobile launched its service in December last year in Toronto and Calgary, and continues to expand with service in Edmonton and Ottawa in the coming weeks. Currently, the company has over 700 employees, and expects to hire an additional 600 employees within the next 12 months.

    I had a phone interview where they stated that the stores would go live after three weeks of training (which starts on Jan 25th)...so in mid February Edmonton will have wind!

    Welcome to Edmonton WIND. I actually feel sorry for folks who still stand at the three rippers' kiosk in malls in Edmonoton, not knowing the real competition is coming to Edm soon. Poor folks.
