How are we doing?

So I'm thinking...

It’s Time for Change, Not Short-Change

Today we launched our Campaign for Wireless Choice. Wireless competition in Canada is virtually nonexistent and Canadians deserve far more than what they’re getting from the current state of the industry. Canada has one of the weakest wireless markets and we pay some of the highest prices in the world. In fact, cell phone companies are the number one subject of complaint from Canadian consumers, according to a recent report from the Better Business Bureau.

It’s time to move forward. It’s time to give Canadians what they want, need and deserve in wireless. It’s time for change.

As always, I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Definitely excited about your campaign Tony. Hope it gets the attention of all the people who are completely oblivious about the services provided by the Big 3 in comparison to the rest of the world. Looking forward to your launch in December :)

At minimum people can use their Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to promote 3 fundamental facts: 1. Canadians pay 60% more than States for their services, 2. TELUS, Rogers and Bell are using the most outdated technology given the fact that Canada is amongst the developed country and 3. which further assert our previous point is the 128th country ranking by ITU in terms of quality of these three companies. These companies are milking the people with lowest quality and furthermore outsourcing work to Philippine, India or elsewhere.

I'd say if everyone went ahead and tagged themselves in the ads posted on Facebook (and enough ads were created to encompass everything). It goes into the news feeds of everyone supporting and gets the word out there.

On side with the campaign. The Big Three will have to learn to compete and stop whining. Pulling for you, Tony!

Everything that you have said is absolutely true. I just moved from Jamaica and used to think that because we were a 3rd world country we had it hard but seriously now that i'm in Canada i wish i could revert to my cell services back home, although i didn't have more than 2 choices phones were cheaper and prepaid services were the thing to have simply because it worked better for the companies...what would essentially happen is the company's would make their monies more from the calling cards sold as opposed to the prices of the phones and or plans placed on these services. things like receiving a call or text was free and top up options were in abundance so it made it easy for consumers to enjoy the service. the only lack thereof was the clarity of the networks which was increasingly improving as time and technology advanced.

Currently i have a serious issue with one of the big three simply because 'customer service' is non existent. i have had an issue for 4 1/2 wks which was taking a toll on me simply because of how much energy i was exerting to try and resolve the issue and after being fed up in week 5 and decided to write a letter of complaint (very lengthy i must add) apparently it reached to the office of the president and suddenly i started to get service.. Apologies beyond that which i could contain, options for me to explore to resolving my problem and just the fact that now someone thought i was important enough to receive a call back rather than it being me having to have to call which was what had occurred prior to me writing the letter.

Needless to say service should not have to come after a customer is now angry and disappointed with service. it should be there from the very beginning. But without competition things like these will NEVER change. the more options consumers have is the more able we are to make choices that will suit us rather than be forced to accept what is given to us because there is no choice. This is one change that is more than needed in the Canadian market and the change is needed NOW!

What else can we do that we haven't already been doing? Most of us here would do everything within our power to get the WIND blowing.
