How are we doing?

So I'm thinking...

Looking back…and forward

Hey there,

Over the last 18 months the WIND team has accomplished the unbelievable by building a new national wireless company from the ground up. To do that, we assembled a killer team of experts across the business, built an open, authentic sales & care organization, an amazing online presence, created great advertising, and developed world-class propositions and services based on conversations with our customers. In addition, the network team delivered one of the fastest rollouts of a wireless network in the world, and our IT team has built integrated systems and technology to enable a great customer experience. Finally, our HR team has worked hard to find, hire and train an amazing group of people starting with our first employee to the team of 800 we have today.

While building the company has been a great adventure so far, there is still much to do. So, what’s next? We’re continuing to learn, grow and expand our coverage and services. All good. And as we move into a very ambitious growth mode, we’re making some other shifts internally. Those shifts, combined with my desire to develop wireless & technology opportunities globally, mean that I’m leaving WIND.

I’d like to thank all of the community and customers who have participated in building WIND over the last year – this is truly an amazing and unique experience for wireless and Canada. Very cool!

And I’d especially like to thank the amazing WIND team for all that you’ve done and will continue to do to build a truly different mobile provider in Canada. I’ll enjoy watching your continued progress for years to come.

I’ve always been big on quotes, so I thought a quote from one of my favorite movies may be appropriate:

“…and if I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night”
– Truman Burbank.

Thank you for the conversation,

Chris

Wow! I hope the WIND leadership recognizes what a voice you were both for the company and your customers. If I detect even the slightest change in the original principles you brought to the table, there's no chance I'll consider becoming a WIND customer when (if) they come to my area (London).

Best of luck with whatever the future holds for you Chris!
