How are we doing?

So I'm thinking...

Moving Full Speed Ahead

As many of you are aware, today was the third and final day of the CRTC hearings reviewing WIND’s ownership structure. We’d like to thank the commission for a well-run and thorough review and we look forward to putting the question of our control and ownership to rest once and for all.

WIND has already made changes to accommodate the CRTC's concerns with our structure and remains totally committed to building a great new wireless company for Canadians. We continue to build our management team under Ken and are moving full speed ahead with the network build, call centres, and implementation of all of our systems.

I really want to thank everyone in the WIND community for your continued enthusiasm and support. We are confident the CRTC will provide its approval on October 23, and more than anything, we are looking forward to offering Canadians their first real choice in wireless in almost a decade.

Looking forward to Oct 23 and more importantly the launch. Can't wait to subscribe to Wind. Rogers once again annoyed me today. The one time where I really needed my phone to work, (where there is supposedly coverage), the other party can't hear me and my call dropped. Not impressed! I look forward to changing carriers. I've been ready for a switch for over a year, but there was nowhere else better. That will soon change when Wind enters the market! I'm rooting for ya!

Thanks for the update. I felt today your team had done lot of homework and delivered very well. Overall I had lot of positive vibes from today's crtc's proceedings. I also feel that 23rd October would be a historic day in Canadian telecom history. Best of luck. ss

I am so very very Happy!!! I can not wait. I have been following this Adventure and have been learning at the same time. I have been learning the reasons why and at what lengths that the "Good Old Boys Club" will go to get what they want and keep it.

The CRTC may have its purpose from one point of view, but from other views, they are the ones who are depriving me of services in both Telecom and in Broadcasting. As Greek Canadian I would like to see many more Choices in all my Services. It is freaken amazing that my Family up in the most remote mountain area of Greece has no money for food, but the all have more than one 3G Mobiles (like 3 years ago), "Rocket" Mobile Internet and more Satellite Channels (some I have not even heard of and from all over the world) and they pay a lower monthly Fee than we do. During this past spring & summer, while in Greece, all I kept saying is "WOW". My family thought that I came from a 3rd world country. In Canada, I live Greece through my "Connections".....with Family, Friends and interactions with the culture via Music, Movies & Other Mediums. I sit here watching this Fake Re-Broadcasting Channel that the Cable and Satellite Companies here say is "Excellent Original Programming" for ONLY $17.00/month (that’s right $17.00 for ONE (1) CHANNEL)........Thanks CRTC!!!

Anyways, I think that the CRTC needs to Change or Shut Down. How are you protecting my Canadian Identity when almost 100% of the programming comes from the US??? and more if not all content on the internet is 100% and is from US & elsewhere. I guess you are protecting the CBC, they are a Crown (or Former Crown Corp.), and I guess that they may be "TOO BIG TO FAIL" - Give me a Break!!

Let Me Watch What I Want!!!
Let Me Talk On My Phone to Who Ever, Wherever & Whenever!!!
Let Me Surf the Net Without Throttling and Traffic Shaping Me to Hell!!!

    AND

If and/or when I get Sick of you for Whatever Reason.....NO CONTRACT or RULES Preventing me from Telling YOU where to go and How to Get There!!!

Wind Mobile… More Power to You!!! I Feel the WIND….and it is Powerful!!!
