How are we doing?

So I'm thinking...

New Data Add-Ons & Network Update

We’ve got good stuff happening all around – new handsets, new stores, and new cell sites, all of which have been influenced by comments and suggestions from our customers. You’ve been giving us a lot to think about with your suggestions for expanding our data add-on options too.

Thanks to your suggestions and some great work from the WIND team, as of today we’re expanding our selection of data add-ons for all phones. As many of you have suggested, we think this expansion of data options gives a good range of choice for light, medium and heavy users and offers great value for all types of customers.

new data add-ons

And of course, all these prices and plans are contract-free, so anytime you need to make a change to get the plan that works for you, go right ahead. We won’t mind a bit.

In other good news, I would be remiss if I did not highlight the continued efforts of our “ninja” engineers who are working to expand our coverage and improve the quality of our services. It is an enormous undertaking to build the first ever all-IP, 3G national network here in Canada from the ground up.

We’ve got twice the cell sites now than we did back when we launched in December, and we’re not going to slow the network build anytime soon. In recent weeks, we’ve seen new sites on air all over the country. Here’s a closer look…

In Ottawa: We’re turning on more sites this month to expand our WIND zone and will be opening more stores too

In the GTA: I’m pleased to hear from many WIND customers who’ve experienced improved coverage, especially in the East where our team has made some great strides

In Calgary: We’ve achieved some major milestones in network optimization increasing network coverage and improving call quality

In Edmonton: We’re continuing to work on improving coverage overall

In Vancouver: We’re continuing to add sites, test coverage and hire our Retail teams there as we prepare for our upcoming launch. WIND customers traveling to many parts of Vancouver are already using the WIND network.

Thanks for the conversation... your feedback and ideas are making all the difference,
Ken

I think it is good, but I also think that they maybe should have made it 1GB. When you add this onto the $35/month plan, it doesn't make it much cheaper than Robbellus. I think the cost of this plans should have been closer to $15/month, but it is a step in the right direction.
