Well, if the Sawaras win this then there is hope that the Verizons and AT&Ts of the world can enter Canada. It would mean the end of foreign ownership rules!!! Globalization is the name of the game as Globalive's name already refers to it!
Good Luck Tony, Canada preaches free trade and globalization, but when it effects them personally they balk at the concept. Open markets mean less revenues for the higher ups in the Canadian business spectrum and a higher quality of serivces for customers. It is a shame that Canada is like this, the Big Three have their lobbyists in all corners of this great land of ours trying to impede progress. They don't want to work harder for their revenues, they are like the Toronto Maple Leafs of the wireless industry. Holding onto their monopolies and not letting anything change.
Bring us choice Tony and we'll bring you customers!
I'm not against a certain amount of protectionism, having said that it should not result in consumer abuse
Good Luck, the Canadian Market needs you
I hope for a better competition in the Wireless market, but above all I hope Globalive can bring true competition to also the landline side of things ... (I'm talking about POTS, TV and the Internet) in the long run.
Knock out the Incumbents, and I hope Orascom owner Naguib Sawiris doesn't bail-out after period set out in the business contract. If anything, you guys should work on diversifying the foreign ownership mix while at the same time lobbying for the ability to allow for greater foreign investors as clearly our current situation doesn't favor the entrepreneurial spirit.
Good luck on changing the way we do business.
Tony,
Lower rates | better selection | an honest company | is at your hands for all of Canada don't fail us... Lol best of luck to you and Windmobile.
Long before Wind mobile came along to stop the big 3 jerks I was hoping that a well established company's like Vodafone and T-mobile both European would come to Canada... sadly we all know they didn't... although I am glad now that we have wind mobile to look forward to as many Canadians are. I hope this CRTC court case goes well and you guys can Launch your service. I'd personally like to be one of the first few people In Vancouver to use your service...hopefully in time you'll carry a couple of blackberries like the blackberry storm 2. Anyways thank you and good luck.
Ps.. You are the superman of Canadian wireless!
@pay2talk: I'll see you in line for Vancouver launch, then!
I listened to some of the hearing proceedings, and it sounds like you guys have a tough case on your hands. I know you'll make it through, though! Best of luck Tony, Canada needs you.
We love you guys and all the hard work you are doing for us canadians!
Hope all goes well, and we are eagerly looking forward to your "Another victory for inovation" post in a few days when you get the go ahead!
We are behind you all the way!!!
