WIND Mobile Is In Action

As Chris mentioned yesterday, our retail locations and call centre may not be open yet, but our 400 specialists are trained and ready to bring positive change to their communities, doing Random Acts of Kindness for others.

WIND Mobile is in action, starting today!

  • Abdul's Care team has landed at the local Brampton self-service Petro Canada station and are pumping gas.
  • A big shout out to Edwin’s crew who are at the Jane/Lawrence Salvation Army.
  • And if you’re at the Bramalea City Centre, keep an eye out for Doris and her team, who are handing out stickers to kids, opening doors and generally making folks smile.
  • If you’re next-door to a WIND Calgary store, you're in luck because the store staff will be going visiting to introduce themselves to their neighbours and share coffee and timbits.

Keep checking back here and on our Twitter and Facebook pages today and for the rest of the week as we continue with our Random Acts of Kindness updates!

Want to bring change to your community? Do your own Random Act of Kindness, then share it here in a comment, on our Facebook page, or tweet about it with the hashtag #kindness. We’re listening!

And if you see one of our teams in action, show your support by honking your horn or giving them a big wave.

I hope the media picks up on this, because it's been a while that any company (let alone the Big 3 telco giants) has done something so gracious for little in return. Just goes to show that it doesn't take much to connect with your neighbours, and we should all be doing it. It's great publicity for the brand and a testament to WIND's commitment to quality service -- to both customers and non-customers!

Keep up the great work, can't wait to switch over.

Brilliant marketing move but frankly, I wouldn't expect any less. Great job Tony, keep it up and kudos to your staff: your dedication, determination and faith will pay dividends...

Hey Wind, you should come out to Limeridge Mall in Hamilton (or Eastgate, where your store is) dress up a team with shirts and signs (saying "Don't Sign Yet", "Winds of Change", and "You Think? Just Wait")

I'd be happy to help liveblog it and go viral. Can't wait to sign on!

Thanks for the kudos guys! I've already been hearing that our WIND teams have been spotted out on the street doing good and I'm pumped to hear that they're being so well received. Go team!

Tomorrow morning I will pay for the person's order behind me in the Tim Horton's drive thru and say it is a random act of kindness encouraged by WIND...the new national cell phone company.

I don't mean to be a downer, but, it's kind of upsetting how holding doors for people is considered a random act of kindness... I'm sorry but I still consider that basic manners and get very upset when I see someone not hold a door and leave a mother with a stroller with two kids to try to open it and get the stroller through without waking up the kids.
