TORONTO – December 16, 2009 – WIND Mobile, a subsidiary of Globalive Holdings, marked an historic day for wireless in Canada today by becoming the newest national wireless provider in Canada in over a decade.

As a part of the official launch in Toronto, WIND Mobile unveiled a 20-foot monument as a tribute to the tens of thousands of Canadians whose conversations helped to shape Canada’s first truly competitive wireless operation. WIND Mobile stores opened today in the GTA and will launch later this week in Calgary. The company will be rolling out in Vancouver, Ottawa and Edmonton in the new year.
