I think that one of the problems with Bell/Rogers/Telus is that they reward customer disloyalty. They offer all those discounts for the new customers, so people jump around hunting for the best bargain. So, of course, then the phone companies are trying to lock the customers into the multi-year plans to force them to stay... It would be nice to see a company who rewards the customers for STAYING with them. Doesn't have to be something for free - maybe a discount rate on some new feature? I may not even want to use it, but it would inject some of the meaning back into the term "valuable customer"...
