How are we doing?

So I'm thinking...

I am not interested in an Internet package that has all ports closed by default, save for certain approved ones. I am only interested in service with all ports open by default.

WIND could save all of this back and forth by just opening all ports, at least if a user asks. This is how I have been using data on my Fido account for five years, and I see no reason to expect these restrictions.

I am having the same issue. What is going on.... I understand the need to block P2P, but to straight out blocking port and not informing user before they sign on is a major issue on the part of Wind Mobile... and it is really unacceptable..

They really needed to figure it out fast... beyond that port blocking is just plain dumb... as some of the program allow proxy.. and also some program like vnc or vpn or other software use special port and blocking forces them offline.

Unlimited internet should not be crippled like this... could we get some staff response to this?

agreed. Staff response on anything technical is abysmal here. I have asked twice now for their Chief Technical Officer to speak on the technical problems they have had since launch, and still - nothing. Are all the infinite mobile subscribers crippled in this same manner (Maple, BB, etc) - or just the ones that Wind does not sell?

On Howard Forum, there is an active discussion about this, and for sure even the BB is having issues.. don't know about the maple yet.

I have a BB Bold 9700 on Wind and I have no experienced any issues... I've done everything possible using the data and no issues what so ever.

I am guessing anyone with a BB 9700 claiming to have issues might be full of it or simply having bad luck.

While I agree that they should unblock all the ports my suspicion is they do this to make sure people buy WIND "approved" handsets... since they sell their phones at cost.. I dont really see how this is profitable but perhaps it is to decrease the number of customer complaints?

Judging by this post and others similar to it.. I dont think its working... lol

Just 1 N900 customer? I can't be the only one that's opened a ticket. Everybody who's affected should open a ticket.

Wind is fully behind people getting unlocked phones, thats one of there awesome principles. They will allow any AWS compatible phone to be used. And because they sell these phones contract-free, they have no reason to fear unlocked AWS phones, if they sell them at cost like they say they do, then they are more than happy for people to use any AWS phone they wish

Wind, you have your priorities wrong.

Hey, here's an idea: Concentrate on fixing EXISTING issues first. My BB doesn't have direct TCP connection (no BB user does). It's crippled without it.

Heads up, I'll be calling soon and asking for a account credit to my BB-UL data plan every month you bill me for it.

    That just makes me angry.

    to Sanjay.Patel001

I bet playing youtube videos over the network isn't working, nor is audio streaming. These are possible via direct TCP over the network (and WiFi). But, none of that works.

Tethering with your BB isn't working either.
