How are we doing?

So I'm thinking...

How much more calling do you think per second is going to give you? Double?

The competitor's $15 plan only comes with 50 minutes and it doesn't even include call display.

Its a little false advertising though, something that The Big 3 would do, because you dont actually get 100 minutes, if you talk for 1:10 seconds a day you are paying for 50 minutes

I would rather have 50 min billed to the second than 100 min billed to the minute. You get the time you payed for

Any time you get more for nothing it's probably better. I think maybe it's harder to keep track of. How much time do you want to spend on a$15.00 customer arguing about a few seconds.

I think the big issue is when you are roaming on Rogers it is per second billing so to stay in line with that (and to remember that they to are a business) have kept it per second billing.

Per-second billing doesn't give anyone more minutes...it gives them more calls. How often are your calls exactly :59?

Per-minute is a tactic that reeks of Rogers/Bell/Telus.

Per second billing while on the Wind network and per minute while on roaming. Problem solved :P
Carry over minutes be nice too even if just half of whats left gets carried over.

Per minute billing would be fine, IF they used standard mathematical number rounding practices.

Under 30 seconds over the minute, round DOWN, 30 seconds or more over the minute, round UP.

For example, a call lasting 1:22 should be counted as 1:00, a call lasting 1:30 should be counted as 2:00.

This would be very similar to per-second billing since the numbers would average out over several phone calls.
