PS. For the proposed unlimited browsing plan, a soft cap of anywhere from 1-5GB is completely acceptable. Anyone who surpasses this soft cap can be encouraged by WIND to upgrade the data plan, no-contract of course!
sounds good.. also virgin mobile just launched there hspa+.. and offer an excellent blackberry plan only problem voice plan dont match my needs
I think the best thing for WIND to do is to keep us customers in the loop about where they're at. If they don't have the technology or are having difficulties programming the solutions required, say so. People are much more understanding when they're informed about problems and what is being done to resolve them. If your tech's are slow or having problems, say so. You're a new company, no body expects you to get it all right at first - but when we're paying money, we are stakeholders in your business and would like to know what's going on.
My proposal would be that blackberry users get Free Data instead of credits, until they get this fixed. Of course I don't own the company and I don't know what the repercussions would be...but that is my suggestion.
I agree. Honesty, accountability, and transparency are the pillars to building strong customer loyalty -- especially in a world of no contracts!
I would be much happier knowing whether something is black or white than being teased that it's one while lacking proof that it's the other.
mccans, that is essentially what's happening -- we're getting monthly credits.
Now, WIND might read these comments and think, "Oh! Well easy solution...stop giving out credits and we can save money." ...which is logical, but it wouldn't resolve the core issue.
IMO, the more people who ask for credits, the more pro-active WIND will be in allowing true unlimited data for BB users (since all you N900 and Nexus One users seem to be fine! >:( ). I realize that WIND has an armful on their plate, but data is a great cash cow and they're currently not milking it at all -- in fact, they're handing out steaks.
Yes, so there must be a big problem..or else it would have been fixed long ago. But their are being quite quiet about it--which is kind of disappointing. Now, they have mentioned they are working on it, but being technically curious, I would like to know what's causing the problem.
If WIND would release a $20 unlimited browsing plan I might actually switch. If they release one for $25 i'm not switching unless they match my current plan....
15-20 Dollars unlimited and it doesnt need Tethering, Offer that for the 35 dollar price.
Im curious to see if Wind will sell the new Pearl themselves, would give BB fans who want one, but dont wanna drop 450 bucks could get in on the fun
