    This petition is pointless, they are obviously trying to bring the device to their network. Sources that i've talked to said it will be here in April.

    If the Nexus One comes to Canada it will most likely be tied to Rogers/AT&T since it looks like HTC/Google is applying to the FCC for another vesion of the N1 that works on Rogers 3G bands in Canada. Right now WIND is the only Canadian service provider whos frequencies work with native Nexus One phones to allow 3G coverage. Current Nexus Ones will run on Rogers network, but only at EDGE speeds which is why I hope WIND gets their rear in gear and gets the home footprint upgraded to cover my SW Calgary community so I can finally ditch Rogers and switch my N1 over.

    The petition was worth a shot. It won't work if there's no demand for the phone. Plus the petition needs more exposure. If you can post the link on any forums that you can think of. If it gets enough signatures Google will listen.

    @Kilted:
    Being tied to robbers is precisely CONTRARY to Google's policy regarding that device. If robbers is getting ANYTHING like the GN1, it'll be the HTC branded and crippled version, which will have ZERO effect on GOOGLE selling the device in Canada.

    It would actually be quite cute if ROBBERS is selling their CRIPPLED verison... for probably $900+, and GOOGLE is selling their PROPER version for $535 US.... if anything, it'll make ROBBERS look EVEN MORE like the thieving returds that they are.
