I've heard a lot of people complaining about the Huawei U7519, and I am truly tired of it. So here are people's most annoying questions answered: Problem 1: Touch screen is not good, and calibrating it doesn't do much. Answer: GET A STYLUS! They cost like 4 for a dollar at the dollar store. Get a Nintendo DS one at Walmart. Use a stylus, and all your problems with the touch pad will just melt away. Remember this is not a $700 Iphone or a $500 Storm or HTC touch...this is a $130 phone. Iphone has a patent on its version of the touch screen...which is why it's suing HTC I believe. So the Huawei's touch screen is not sensitive to your finger's heat, but to your tapping it. So grow some long pointy fingernails...or get a stylus. Problem 2: screen keeps locking while I call. Answer: Go to settings and then phone setting, and where it says "auto keypad lock:, just click it and change that setting to "off". Problem 3: Opera mini is too slow. Answer: First thing to do, is upgrade Opera mini on your phone. Opera will say it doesn't support your phone...ignore that, and upgrade (at worst you can always reset the phone to factory settings). PLEASE, someone at WIND mobile...install a better version of Opera Mini!!!! I have heard this complaint before...and people that solved it, simply upgraded their version of Opera Mini. Problem 4: Screen is cumbersome and it's hard to add contacts. Answer: This phone comes with a wonderful program that is PRE-INSTALLED inside the phone itself. Put your USB in and and install "PC Suite" and then you can actually edit the contact on your laptop or computer, and then transfer that over to your Huawei. Huawei supports ALL types of JPEG images, regardless of what device they were taken with. It also supports MP3 audio, AND 3GP video--regardless of what device that video was taken with.. You wanna watch a 1 hour long episode on your Huawei, then just convert it to 3GP and transfer it over. You can do all that with the PC Suite software. It also Supports TXT files...so you can transfer over entire E-books from sites like "Project Guttenberg" for free! SOMEONE AT WIND MOBILE: PLEASE have your people teach how to use this phone....people at the Wind stores are actually telling people NOT to get this phone, rather than telling them how to use it! ALSO...GIVE people a free stylus with this phone so they will stop complaining. So many of the problems stem just from that one stupid thing. And to anybody who still hates this phone: you are buying a $130 phone that can read e-books, play mp3's, open JPEGS regardless of what device took them (other cellphones or 7MP digital cameras), play 3GP video, surf the internet with a great browser in Opera, AND has google maps and search as widgets, comes with TWO AWESOME games, a good camera, built in FM radio and the ability to synchronize with MS outlook and your email to become a VERY efficient organizer. You are buying a $130, that does 5 times it's value.
i agree with almost everything you said but for me Huawei works very well and besides is just a $130 phone. i just need to make calls and text a little and for that is awesome. i ask them to disconnect data just in case. only other complain is that i havent been able to silent the camera shutter so far.

I think your post is awesome Revy. You make me think I should got the Huwei instead as I am finding the BB difficult to figure out. You make the Huwei sound easy and simple. The BB has a huge learning curve and even with BBsupport pages I still am useless on this thing. The calender seems no where near as nice as my old Palm Pilot and I have little success in synching it with my computer.
