I agree. I feel that WIND would do really well to up their current data plans. Nothing too fancy, but here's what I'm thinking of:
$10 - 250MB
$20 - 1GB
Also, including 50MB as part of the "Always shout" plan as an incentive.
I agree
even $10 - 100Mb would be better.
50Mb on nokia makes me check my usage everyday twice. can't afford $20 plan with $45 voice plan.
@ formation1: "Otherwise, it might be worthwhile getting stuck in a contract for 3 years and getting a subsidized phone in the process."
Hey, go for it! It's your choice - this is a free country.
It's just that WIND Mobile has brought a different choice to the mix.
Before WIND, there was really no choice - no competition at all . . . . .
are you guys serious? Really? Bell's plans are $15 for "smart social" and Wind's Social blackberry is only $10, it is the same plan and is $20 on prepaid for bell and they sell 50mb for $15 and as for you $40 plan, you can get the same on Wind as low as $35 (chat + charged mobile or charged blackberry)
Granted, there is no "evenings and weekends" minutes with Wind but you get province wide (or nation wide on "always shout") long distance instead with Wind's plans and trust me the "calling areas" for Bell Rogers and Telus are small enough make you pay all the "savings" back in long distance and also to the big 3 plans you have to add 911 fee.
I don't know but 100mB or even 500mb isn't enough. We should have about 5gb for every mobile product. Half a Gig is only good to check your e-mail and some internet but not for heavy usage. We have the highest Mobile Internet here in Canada. In eastern Europe you get this Internet for only $0.01 per Mb. That's right $1.00 for 100Mb.
