You can't have a goal for wireless competition, take 1/2 billion dollars from someone, approve of their ownership structure to have your regulatory arm, under the influence of the incumbents, pull a stunt that proves....they have no intention following the government's direction...I see the government calling for von Finckenstein's resignation and over ruling this bias decision.
Yes, I agree with you. The problem is Wind has not made any specific rebuttal against this. They have confirmed that they disagree with the CRTC, however they have not said anything specific as to what they are going to do.
It seems they are waiting....waiting for what I don't know.
I'm sure there is a lot of things happening behind the scenes that we can't see. I just know from experience that it is never a good idea to corner a lion.
Well if they still up the pot and launch....then we finally have some real competition. The problem is we need more specific comments. Right now it seems they are waiting.
Now I am sure they are doing alot behind the scenes but they have left Wind bloggers in the dark here.
"Until the CRTC's decision, Konrad von Finckenstein said himself in paragraph 34 of the ruling that there was no definition of control in fact. Then he went out of his way to set a precedent...to make a definition."
You hit the nail square on the head again Tammy! It's like a BAD Nightmare!
The CRTC (with Von Finckenstein as it's headman) is like a dog with rabies that will bite the hands that feed it. Industry Canada should not allow them to run wild any longer.
You see Blade......this is the message that has to be heard......we have to shake the media, in a dignified way.........sometimes if a tap drips so much....eventually you have to pay attention to is and address the issue. Do you hear me?
Some news companies have reported that wind has gone to the harper government for an appeal and that might happen. As well some have reported that industry canada may be reviewing the CRTCs decision. Now if thats true I am not sure. Who is actually in charge the CRTC or industry canada?
I would like to think Industry Canada. They have the power to overturn the CRTC, the question though is... Will they?
CRTC has to answer to Industry Canada for this one. There's a memeber on here vonfunk or something. He has a coffee cup up to his face in the picture. He seems to know all the connects of who reports to who.
Maybe he will post something. I rarely see Vonfunk posting anymore.
