Hey guys, thanks for the nod on that poster ... I return that thumbs up as well. Now lets make it happen. To me it is a combination of things I'm looking for .... and I hope this is what will be delivered. * Now for discount, I would be lying if I didn't ask the cheaper the better ... but I draw the line when it comes it to effecting service growth and expansion, and customer support. What I want in the end in terms of pricing is quite realistic and not too much to ask, sensible pricing. Contracts should not be a punitive trap ... it should be just for subsidizing a phone. I wonder in amazement the phones over at Rogers and Fido which cost street value $100 yet they put a price tag of $20 and a 3year warranty come on that is manipulative. Or some services like data, you need to be on contract ... for what? If I have my own 3g phone, data shouldn't be on contract. * I like the province wide plans I've been hearing, makes no sense to pay long distance within Ontario how backwards is that? * CSR's ... really proud this is an in Canada operation. But regardless please ensure that you hire honest people ... and don't push them to pressure sale. Makes the customer angry, and really leaves a bad taste for both people on opposite ends of the phone line. * If you want to have a loyalty based system ... please don't put too many obstacles in our way. Like Fido Dollars is utter trash now, Fido/ Rogers has gone to great lengths in hiding people from using the dollars towards any good phone like iPhone or towards good services like data. Make it simple to use, and transparent. * Please keep a firm hand on retention ... I really don't like haggling for a deal or hearing how my plan which might be better is being subsidized by some poor fellow who couldn't articulate his points. When you run a better line up of phones, and have a better customer service ... a few dollars that the incumbents can undersell on is not worth competing over ... you are in the market to sell a brand not just a phone. So again lets avoid hearing 500 different types of retention plans ... that is too chaotic to keep up with. * Encourage people to buy their phone or meet us halfway (long term contracts because of subsidizing is bad for all), especially when phones have become a discard able part to daily living (I have 3 phones who knows where the fourth is?). * New phones all the time, if I was you I would keep my eye glued to BGR, Gizmodo, engadget, etc... These tech news/ blogs sites are the pulse of the phone consumer market ... forget twitter and facebook crap ... these guys pick up on the trends before most others. Like I can tell you a phone maker to go into contract with for next year: http://www.inqmobile.com/ They will be making a Android based social phone, by the looks of there current phones and past work ... this is a great company that is going to go big soon ... maybe the Android phone of theres is a good pick. * Open your network, I want you guys to be the role models for an open network for the entire North America. I would love to see small companies offering MVNO type services off of Globalives network. I would love to see Peek running on Wind, I would love to see the eReaders that chapters eventually deploy running on Globalive ... create it and companies will come. http://www.getpeek.com/ Bottom of all, you guys won't go big on advertisement ... but go big on actions cause you have a lot to prove. Congrats once more, lets get to it, and prove Wind has what it takes to survive the great Canadian experience.
