Hi Judi- Being a Canadian without a cell phone is more common than you think! You might have heard about the big study that came out the other week comparing cell phone service in industrialized countries (Ken blogged about it here: http://www.windmobile.ca/WIND-news/detail/not-news-canada-needs-competition/). Turns out that while most Canadians have cell phones, 35% don't, and that's a really high percentage compared to most other developed countries. We can't share details like phone colour yet, but I can tell you that we're looking to launch in Toronto and Calgary by the end of the year. Hope that helps your decision making!

Hi Rockjock-- we appreciate that we have such passionate people on the site! It's good to see people getting excited about our service at launch-- even if that sometimes means they're impatient ;). The thing is, we haven't launched yet. As Chris said in his blog post on this very subject: We’re keeping the details of handsets, plans, and prices quiet until we launch. When we're able to share that info, it will be up on the site right away. Until then, stay tuned...

The previous posters are right (thanks iblastoff and nelsoon!), it will take a while before the iPhone works on the AWS frequency, since it would be a change from the way the current gen works. Hi guys-- our primary call centre will be located in Mississauga and will be an in-house operation (ie, all the staff will be directly employed by WIND). WIND will work closely with Teleperformance to make sure that the level of customer care is consistent whether your call in answered in Mississauga or in Peterborough.

Hi Bubba, Welcome to the WIND Community and thanks for your question. Our primary call centre will be run entirely by WIND and based out of Mississauga. We announced the outsourced Peterborough call centre last week. We'll be working closely with Teleperformance to make sure they provide an amazing customer experience when we need them. @laird - the execs and staff are on the site reading posts pretty regularly, but we do more listening than talking :). Hi all-- thanks for your comments. With the launch of our service, the community site has gotten many new members-- which is awesome. Less awesome is that with so many new people in the conversation, there is an increased likelihood of trolls. Since the community site went live in August we've seen many trolls come and go. We are big believers in "don't feed the trolls" :). Hey there-- I regret that this is what you see when you look at our efforts to improve coverage. We're improving the network as quickly as we can throughout Toronto. It's really important to us not to treat anyone like second-class citizens, which is why all of our pre-paid and post-paid customers get the same plans at the same rates. -Aileen, Community Manager PS: if you haven't done so already, I would recommend that you report those areas here http://www.windmobile.ca/care, and get your friends and neighbors to do the same!

Hi cody-- sorry to hear about your experiences with contacting the Care centre. I'm not on the customer care team, but will pass along your comments and the email address you've registered with here in the community to them. To those of you who're wondering about flagging: the option to flag is there so that you can bring a post to the attention of the moderation team. Flagged items are reviewed and if they don't meet our Community Guidelines (see them here: http://www.windmobile.ca/guidelines/), they will be deleted.
