I can't say I like the sound of this as a potential customer. Chris has been vital in this online community and a trusted voice. With no one taking his place here I fear that this community will be more of a complaint drop box where we all wonder if any real person is on the other end reading this stuff. I suggest giving a real explanation because this just seems weird and you should have had someone else building up the same trust he has over the past several months so transition would have been seamless. Hey Chris, thanks for the message but here are a few thoughts... A lack of input from you guys in terms of specific info regarding openings, new phones, plans and expansion (including dates and locations) is just as much a killer of loyal customers and mature feedback as all the trolling. Instead of remaining quiet, regular updates directed at loyal and mature potential customers several times a week would be a better approach in my opinion. Remember that we appreciate regular feedback and news just as you say you do... Waiting for news on Ottawa...

Just have to say thanks for this sincere gesture to future customers... much respect. A continuation of this kind of model of dialogue would be great even after a full launch of your company. Also, PLEASE don't gouge us... in the past two years I've been with Rogers there has not been one month go by where I don't have some kind of surprise on my bill. I would leave them except for not wanting to incur cancellation fees. They without telling me have extended my contract due to a account restructuring and it will now be five years in ...

This is absolutely disgusting from the Canadian Govt. I am ashamed. This is the kind of decision making that is (and has been for decades) digging Canada's grave and breaking her drive to advance. SHAME ON THE CRTC!!! This announcement has simply galvanized my decision to promptly leave the big three service providers just as soon as a decent company arises to offer a challenge. I sincerely hope that it is your company.

Major props for that Rogers comment. I cant recall despising a company as much nor experiencing such poor customer service. I sincerely hope you guys can stay in the game for the long run and not turn into another Telus or sellout to Rogers/Bell. Here is to real change. Come through for us Chris...

@Aileen. A sincere thanks for your response... remember that the number one question we out here are asking amidst all of WIND's community involvement is "when will you launch". As the days go by without solid info we are beginning to wonder "if you will launch". Regular posts addressing these most essential questions would be great for WIND's online community/potential future customers. Like you demonstrated... a conversation is a two way street. Leading the way in communication on these issues with your target market now (during a potential crisis) can really send home the message to all of us that ...

Chris, this was the type of honest message I have been waiting for from you guys. THANK YOU. Getting real and honest feedback on not only positives but shortcomings really demonstrates that you truly will be doing things (not only differently but) BETTER. I'm not sure if they ever will have iPhone coverage... maybe in a few years when Apple makes iPhone for Wind's network. But, they might not since Wind is fairly small company and will be such for some time.

@ anonymous... honestly wondering why you would say that? Many people really like iPhones and they look really great to me too. I just can't deal with carriers that support the phone in Canada, but if Wind carried it I would seriously consider purchasing...

Does this mean Ottawa is no longer "early 2010" just "2010"? Would be great to have some more specifics regarding your 2010 timeline for expansion outside of TO and Calgary.

Is everyone on the new network experiencing this or just a few I wonder? I did see Chris' response to the letter of concern and it sounded genuine. Perhaps we are skeptical because we have been dicked around for so long here in Canada. I'm assuming the best intentions from Wind at this point... I think we have to.
