Bu they could offer both because there is people that for nothing they would sign a contract, so for them it would great to get a phone but after the virtual term and not before. ( i don't talk for me since i'm on contract )

I Think you're right, they should create a effective and simple marketing, they should have plans that say it's a Wind plan! not like Student 35 Blackberry.

Yeah me too i don't like a good company selling itself to one of the big three to see after a ridiculous increase in all plans or options that they offers after they cut in every plans.

Yeah, and also competitors could make the EFC price to go up to prevent people to go to wind or to make wind losing money for this. Yeah it's exist in others places but they don't have the EFC we have here.

I think it's a good idea, there already pre-paid but they aren't specifically adapted for children.

I want to know what you think of a idea i got. First if you are not ok with standard plans that you receive it and after you pay it won't work but if it's right read this: Instead of having a contract, you would pay the first handset the full price, and after 36 months you would get a discount on a handset like people taking contract get. I think it would be great for people that won't take a contract, people like you.

Actual cellular chipset of the iPhones don't work with the 1700mhz, but it's possible that the next iPhone or the other one will get it because many companies will use this frequency chunk in the near future ( Rogers and Bell/Telus got a big part of that 1700mhz too ). So it's possible to see a iPhone in WindMobile CA store in a near future.

There is no GSM/EDGE plans for Windmobile, only UMTS/HSPA. And badly it will only works with AWS spectrum 1700/2100 band, so only T-Mobile USA HSPA compatible will works on it. But if you're in a place where Windmobile has spectrum ( Canada except Quebec ), instead ask them to get service in your area ;) .

Presently they are listening to us, they wanted to go live in Q2-Q3 of this years but Telus asked the CRTC to see if GlobalLive ( the owner of Windmobile CA ) is owned by more than 46.6% by one foreign individual ( company ). If everything is ok with CRTC, i think they will go live rapidly. The earing is slated for September 23-24 and it should take a maximum of 120 days to see if windmobile is right with their ownership structure.

Actually, i'm not sure for Rogers but i know Bell and Telus will have done that for Olympic Games because Bell bought the right to be the official carrier in Canada for roaming ( people for others countries will roam on Bell if the carrier doesn't have already a agreement with another company like Rogers ). And for people not knowing that, 4G is something carrier want you to believe because in reality it's not, it's 3.9G. LTE-Advanced will be 4G. Yeah going on the net or texting, it's a good use of that wasted time in subway. But, i'm not sure about witch subway you are talking but badly i'm sure that Bell bought the rights to install antennas in the subway ( they did it in Montreal )

You have not only the support. This week i hope many people will do the same thing as me and will contact their local Member of Parliament to make pressure on the goverment to relax rules. If it isn't working, I don't have much money but if we have to make that company a Real Canadian one, i'm the first to invest. I don't want a good company be killed by any of the Big 3!

Try to have Teachers, or PSP as a investor or perhaps Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec ( less probably because they already invest in Videotron ). Teachers wanted to bought Bell but this failed, perhaps WindMobile will have better luck....

If you already read technical things, no iPhone can run on Wind network because iPhones doesn't support theses frequencies. There are rumors that T-Mobile in USA will get the next iPhone when exclusive deal with AT&T will end. If it become reality Wind Mobile will have the luck to get it, until that there is no anwser.

The roadmap is waiting that Apple get a HSPA chip for the 1700Mhz spectrum. So the answer for the iphone 3GS is NEVER, and for the next iPhone it depend if T-Mobile USA is getting it or not.

Like every others company i think they will allow you to suspend your account for a small fee. So you will end paying 10$ each month you will be away instead of 80$

The 25¢/min & 10¢/25Kb is when you are roaming on rogers network! take your iPhone on AT&T and watch a clip on youtube..... if you don't have a few thousand more on your invoice your lucky! If you stay on the Wind Mobile network you won't have this prob

Despite the fact that i think there should be a midbudget voice plan ($25) and a lowbudget plan for people trying to save money and using their cell phone but not so much too ( like 300min ), but for 35$ you still have: No contract 50 CAD/US SMS out, unlimited SMS in caller ID, missed call alerts, call forward, call conferencing, call waiting, call hold Unlimited WIND to WIND calling when in any WIND HOME Zone Unlimited incoming calls Unlimited province-wide calling when in any WIND HOME Zone yes the price is not the $20-30 that people seems that ...

and with the big3 you'll be paying that in northwestern Ontario too...
