I have a feeling its about the US Roaming Agreements that they have made. Pretty much all I can think of really. New phones might be coming for the Edmonton and Ottawa release but otherwise its most likely about US Roaming.

Yeah was going to say callback service with queue, so you call me back. Support Fonolo.com. Fonolo.com is direct call service, so you navigate online to where you want to be transferred and then get transferred directly there without going through the call menus. I tired it already and it really saves me time, tired calling Telus and it only took me a few seconds to call them and ask them a quick question. Too bad they don't support it for Rogers, yet. But O well cant have everything.

You can download you're own Ringtones and Wallpapers and Games using Bluetooth or A USB Cable. Wind never blocked those things on there phones thats why I feel like I actually own my phone unlike when I brought a phone with Rogers. On Rogers they blocked off ringtones to force you to buy from them. Trust me you don't want to pay $3 for ringtones. Just make you're own, http://makeownringtone.com/, heres a link. Also you can try http://www.zedge.net/ for pre-made ringtones and wallpaper, the games on this link aren't that great so don't even bother.

$10 sounds good. I don't mind. I'm not a begger. Wind needs to make money. If $10 is what they offer for cheap data fine. It's way lower then $35 so who am I to complain.

Unlocking is when you release the phone from provider blocking. So in otherwords right now if I want to bring my Wind phone to Rogers I would have to get it unlocked in order to allow it to work. If I try now without unlocking my phone it would say that the Sim card is incorrect and that I need to use a Wind Sim card.

Call Wind and Discuss your Porting Issues Immediately 7 Days is way too long, when I ported it only took me 15 minutes but then again I was on Prepaid so theres less issues. Give them a call and they should be able to request an urgent porting notice to Rogers or whatever company you had.

No Wind can not sell unlocked phones upfront cause what if you buy a cheap phone from them and leave to go to another provider. It doesn't allow them time to make money off of you. But if they allow it after 3 months it gives them time to make some profit. It's really a business technique, I would do it too if I owned the company. I'm happy that at least after 3 months they are giving the option unlike Rogers.

Tell Wind that you were in your home area at the time, unless you weren't... But if you were they know when and where you sent the text messages and they can reimburse any charges that have been put on the account.

As for reception issues. Take a look at the coverage map, and reinvestigate where your home and work are. If you are within the coverage you might as well tell Wind that you can't get service. They will immediately dispatch a person to go help in the area. Thats what they did for me and I saw them fixing the towers near my house.

A better idea is that Wind allows you to give them you're old phone for credit towards a new one. Then they can sell your old phone as a refurbished model.

I don't know about purchasing them separately but for me I got the first month free. So on the day I signed up I only paid for the phone.

In my opinion if Wind had the iPhone on there network it would have to have special pricing. When the Google Nexus One comes to Wind I'm sure Wind will think of something in terms of pricing. Also when you compare the iPhone to the Google Nexus One, the iPhone looks like a cheap piece of plastic. I'm sorry but Apple what happened? It was a nice aluminum iPhone and then plastic. Fine hows this if you are ever in a Wind Away network a voice prompt tells you that you are ROAMing and continue the call regardless in a few seconds.

They put a limit because they want to make sure you are still alive and not using up there network.

That used to/and still happens when I was with Rogers and I was making a call in Hamilton regardless of if I dialed +1 before or without it still gave me a prompt.

I'm happy with my Huawei, I haven't had any problems with it, in terms of texting yes it is a down side but have you ever tried to text using QWERTY on a resistive touch screen. Its not that great when you compare it to a capacitive. I'm more then happy with touch style T9, it gets the job done and with unlimited calling why would you need to text that much.

Yeah I agree, The Unlimited Texting for $5 should include MMS thats what Telus and Bell do. Its unlimited North American Texting on any network, but unlimited texting on there network was $10. Thats how I used to avoid high Roaming charges. :D

Its ok. Reception is not the issue. The issue is that Wind isn't developed enough yet but they will get better. Yes texting is in touch t9 style. but its not a problem just ask to try it out at the store and you'll see. The phone is a bit slow so you must have some patience when using it. In terms of call quality its exceptional. The loud speaker is weak, so if you are planning on blasting the music yeah good luck. But the good perks are that you can put your own ringtones and images. Excuse me Symbian is a well developed OS. It's been around forever now. Its way more stable then iPhone OS, or Android OS, or even WebOS. Plus its also open source like Android.

I have the Huawei. it happens periodically. Sometimes during a call it only happens at the beginning for a few minutes then stops.

Yeah @Aladin it is hard to describe. Its like a static skipping noise but its only for a second yet it repeats again and and for a few minutes. During these few minutes the other party partially cuts off. Kind of hard to talk for the first few minutes but after that its all good. So far its occurring on all wind phones I presume. Honestly speaking the Blackberry OS is really restricted. I have a Blackberry Curve 8900, I thought I could use mapping software like Garmin MobileXT WITHOUT using data for when I go to the states. But no I'm forced to use data. Everything is all about data on the blackberry its annoying. Honestly if I was you I would go with the HTC Maple at least its Windows Mobile. Ok Wind does cap calling to a Max of approx. 2 hours per call. So after a 2 hour call I have to call that person back and continue. They just want to make sure I'm not misusing the network and taking up resources. I've used up over 2000 mins. Yes I talk a lot. I'm waiting for the warning email to come in and tell me to ease down on calling but nope nothing yet.
