Zdar Chris, Koukam ze jsi byl v Praze. Vitej zpet do Kanady :) I'm definitely interest in this new Wind of change! I'll find a way to get in touch with you directly. Zatim ahoj!
This looks very promising... I would offer at least 5 types of plans: 1- Voice/text only 2- Data only (ex. 3G USB keys) 3- voice/text > Data 4- Voice/text = Data 5- Voice < text/Data (for heavy users like me)

ru4real you're right. Chris meant conventional marketing. The Soapbox was a smart marketing tool. They can use "Refer a Friend", which will bring in a gang of family members and friends. Also a rewards program jut like FidoDollars. The Cell Broadcast is a nice tool to use. They can advertise on clients handsets. It's a feature that I did not see in North America.
Csari0, it will be 3G, a GSM evolution. Has nothing to do with CDMA. Your handset must support 3G WCDMA 1700 MHz. GSM 2.0 and 2.5 is becoming a thing of the past.
Nadim, this bundle cable/internet/wireless thing is a scam. I've seen my friend's Rogers monthly statement. It's amazing. You get 15% discount on the main service only! Ex. the phone line is $23 then it's 15% on the $23 and not on the total with the Caller ID, long distance, 911, Voicemail, etc). Now here's the trick. They are making up for the discount in the rental and service fees. For each service you have a renting fee for the supplied equipment, whether it's a modem or a digital set-top-box. Then you have the following fees: - System access fee for ...
Just wondering if it was a full-duplex call :)
It's all about lobbying in North America. Globalive needs to hire experienced lobbyists to survive.
I guess you already have the first Smartphone. It's the newly released Nokia N900. Unlike my old Nokia N800, the new model has a phone built-in phone and to my surprise it's HSPA 900/1700/2100. Will that work with the Wind? BTW, the Nokia netbook should be referred to as a Smartbook. Netbooks do not come with a built-in GPS. This Nokia Smartbook will be a best seller just like the Asus Eee PC.
My Alarm Clock :) I applied in two ways and got the 1st call. Hope there will be a 2nd one. My job skills are transferable, my experience in the tech support field is extensive and my passion for the mobile field is endless. Waiting impatiently!
Whatever you do please make the account section accessible via the smartphone mobile browser. It's faster than calling the IVR.
Lobbyists from Bell/Rogers/Telus managed to manipulate the CRTC. Is there a petition in favor of Wind Mobile?
Congrats! Finally we gonna have a European-Style Canadian Mobile company...
