nobody has free phones! $0 means you have a 3 year contract... There are no contracts at Wind.. and if you actually look at the cost of Wind phones vs Rogers or Bellus phones.. You would be very excited for Wind

??? The issue is they are not compatible.. Unless you have a phone from T-Mobile, which uses the same type of network. This is nothing new, this was set in stone from the day they started to plan the infrastructure years ago! Wind appears to have plans to allow you to use another phone provided it works on their network, just not yet. But this would not include any phone you bought in Canada.

Have you seen the plan for "home" ?? It easily covers 95% of Canadian homes. (I would honestly like to see actual statistics on how much) Canada is HUGE and it costs a lot of money to cover all of Canada. Their "Home" plan is very solid

iPhone will not work on current Wind network. There are however rumors about iPhone 4g working on the network. But that is Apple's call not Wind!

Looks like you can call them to port your number. my issue is I'm not exactly sure what the coverage map is. There is a post about towers from Orleans to Kanata, being turned on a couple weeks ago. but that is awfully vague. Does anybody have a Map?

Why? If you are interested in limitations by contract then I would assume the options are clear. Stay with the big 3.

@droidhacker.. Agreed. it works on both. But the idea of spending $600 on a phone to get a _2g_ signal tough to swallow.
